This guide describes how to create an SPU packet for CANect modules, display modules, and custom modules. It describes two deployment methods to transfer the SPU file to the modules: USB Drive and OTAP.
Over the air programming, or OTAP, is a technology that lets users program modules using HED®'s telematics system. With this system, users create a SPU packet in CANect® Composer and transmit it to the module using CANect® Portal.
Also, this guide contains information for advanced users covering how to apply an SPU to modules using Ethernet.
For additional information, see the HED® CANect® Composer and HED® CANect® Portal manuals. For first time users, see the CANect® Experience Quick Start Guide.
